Today marked a special occasion for a certain Welshman. Ryan Giggs passed 900 games in Manchester United colours at Carrow Road against Norwich.
Giggsy celebrated in style, popping up with a dramatic injury time winner for the Red Devils, breaking Norwich hearts and keeping United in the title race.
It’s 21 years since Ryan made his debut, and the loyalty and quality he has shown in a United shirt has been impressing the Old Trafford faithful the whole time. Highlights of his career have included his 1999 FA cup semi final individual effort against rivals Arsenal, captaining his club and country, and achieving the incredible feat of winning PFA player of the year aged 35. Giggs has picked up an OBE along the way, and in spite of recent personal controversy, Giggs has proved an inspiration for aspiring professionals for years.
Ryan Giggs, The North Stand salutes you!
