One for the Future: George Thorne

George Thorne is a product of the West Brom academy, and made his debut for the club in the 09-10 season aged just 16, making him their youngest senior player since 1960. The youngster went on loan to Portsmouth in late 2011 and then again in early 2012 as he looks to learn his trade in the championship.

George was born in 1993, and has recently turned 19. He has shown a huge amount of promise in his midfield position, and has represented England at Under 16, 17, 18 and 19 levels, helping the Under 17s win their first ever European championship, playing in the final against spain.

George Thorne is destined for big things, keep an eye on this kid, we expect him to be plying his trade regularly in the premier league soon.
